1997/06/14: デジカメ勝負
As always:-)
we made a comparison picts for the following cameras:
(1) Ricoh DC-2L,
(2) Ricoh DC-2E,
(3) Sega SJ-1 "DIGIO",
(4) Hitachi MP-EG1,
(5) Pentax SFXN (non-digital camera), and
(6) Ricoh DC-3(beta).
Please note that DC-3 is not a product release.
The image may be different from that of the product release.
To create thumbnail image, we netpbm package and IJG djpeg/cjpeg.
Full-sized jpeg files are obtained by copying directly from the memory
card,or PCMCIA harddisk.
We performed no resize nor retouch, basically.
Special cases are:
- For DC-2E, we converted j6i file into jpeg file with 768x576 pixels.
- For DIGIO, we converted sj1 file into jpeg file by stripping
off the header part. (no jpeg decode/encode was performed)
- For Hitachi MP-EG1, due to no-conversion nature, full-sized images
have strange aspect ratio, 704x480.
To view in natural-to-human aspect ratio, you should convert the image
into width:height=4:3, say 640x480.

It is no use to compare thumbnail pictures.
Compare the full-sized images that appear by clicking thumbnails.

最近ほとんど毎回ですが(笑)、
デジタルカメラ徹底比較ということで、Ricoh DC-2L、 Ricoh DC-2E、 Sega SJ-1
"DIGIO"、 Hitachi MP-EG1、Pentax SFXN(銀塩カメラ)、
それからDC-3(ベータ機)を勝負
させてみることにしました。
註: DC-3はベータ機なので、製品版とは画質が違う可能性があります。
そこんところよく御理解ください。
サムネイル作成のためにはnetpbm/IJG jpeg packageを使いました。
フルサイズのjpegファイルは、全てメモリカード経由で取り出ました。
リサイズやレタッチは基本的に一切加えていません。
特例は以下のとおり:
- DC-2Eについてはj6iからjpegへのファイル変換を行っています。
- DIGIOについてはsj1からjpegへのファイル変換を行っています。
ヘッダをはがすだけで、jpeg圧縮/伸長はしていません。
- MP-EG1のフルサイズ画像はカメラから吸い上げたそのまま、704x480になってます。
人間がみてまともと思う縦横比にするには640x480にする必要があります。
- Pentax SFXNのレンズなどについては、ここを参照。
thumbnail比較してもしょうがないので、是非サムネイルをつついて
